Frozen Forms of Water

We have been learning about frozen forms of water. In doing so we compared icebergs and glaciers. We learned that:

Icebergs
  • Are large pieces of ice that break off from glaciers
  • Float in water
  • Normally only show 10% above water
  • Can eventually melt away
Glaciers
  • Are frozen rivers of ice that move slowly
  • Are formed by lots of snow
  • Located near mountains, valleys and polar regions
We then took this information to make iceberg art!
